Utierres
DOMAIN
Utierres is the god of nature, but he is not the benevolent spirit that title may suggest. He is also the god of war, which, while seemingly at odds with nature at first, makes a good bit of sense upon consideration. Nature is a brutal struggle, a sort of eternal war with billions of soldiers fighting millions of battles. Nature is not a solace from warfare, but another front to fight it on.
ORIGIN
Not much of Utierres childhood is known. Utierres enlisted as soon as he could, joining the armies of a kingdom near modern day Jailur. He quickly rose through the ranks, and by 23, he was the youngest general on the entire continent. He was feared by nearly every other kingdom nearby, so it came as no surprise when he mysteriously disappeared at 28 years old.
Most posited he was the target of a political assassination, and a funeral was even held. However, in reality, he had decided to flee to the wilderness, to live his own life. It was not a quiet life, constantly hunting and slaughtering animals in his path, but it befit a bloodthirsty general.
However, one day, he began to notice strange things in his corner of the woods. Animals and plants that moved like they shouldn't, lived where they shouldn't and especially looked like they shouldn't. So he did what he did best: killed them on sight, cleansing the woods of their presence.
Eventually, Utierres would encounter a titanic beast (The Rot Emperor itself), and take to battle with it. It put up significantly more of a fight than anything else he had ever seen, but ultimately after a hard battle, he would defeat it.
Almost unintentionally, he would ascend. Entering the woods a broken man, he would emerge a god.
APPEARANCE AND DEPICTIONS
Utierres appears as a tall half-orc about in his mid 30s, wearing a suit of armor covered in moss. His eyes are green and he has brown hair, and wears a amulet around his neck. The amulet is similarly mossy.
Behind his back he wears large great axe, almost seemingly too large to be effective. It shows signs of heavy wear, though no witness has ever described it as "dull".
Depictions of Utierres are mostly uniform in how they show his physical characteristics. However, the tones wildly vary. Some show him as a wise sage, sitting on tree stumps and pondering. Others show him in the heat of battle, halfway through cutting a man in half. Others still paint a picture of something in between, a wise and noble nurturing figure that must butcher for the greater good.
ABILITIES
Stories were told of Utierres' incredible strength even before he became a god, and that has obviously only fanned the flames. It is said he can leap across any battlefield, regardless of terrain, and rend his foes apart easily even with his bare hands.
The axe seems to have some basic magical properties, cleaving through anything he slams it towards like butter, as well as leaving an infection seeping into whatever wound it makes.
Aside from his physical capabilities, it seems he also has some control over magic. He is able to manipulate most things that fall under the "nature" umbrella, such as nearby plants and animals, to do whatever he wishes.
