Following the Restoration, society, at large as of 714 A.F. has returned to a more structured state, somewhat similar to that of the Second Colonial Era. The cities that rose to prominence during the Restoration have become staples of the continent, with seemingly little to no opposition. The religious groups that developed during the Restoration have persisted, though they have evolved.
The abnormality of Tai'Un has persisted into modern times, and it is perhaps even more obvious than ever. The tribes hold equal, if not more power than the colonies of the Modern Era. Despite this, they still remain shattered and ununited.
Each of the colonies, in contrast, while maintaining trade with another, are much more insular. Despite having wildly different cultures and systems of government, they have all expanded and enveloped the areas surrounding them in one way or another.
As a whole, while not without conflict (especially within the Glistening Plains), the Modern Era has been peaceful. The numerous atrocities of history have seemingly come to a close.
